Everyone’s got a story… what’s yours?
I was born and raised in the DC area by a work-at-home artist mother and a home-builder father named Bob. People usually connect with my warm and open personality, which I use to help people relax in front of my camera. I have an eight year old son, who is one of the most charming, brilliant people I’ve ever had the honor to know. He too is warm and loving, and will immediately declare “huggies!” and throw his arms open, which you naturally will do as well just prior to receiving a free hug, from my budding creative and entrepreneur.
I appreciate slightly off-beat characters, and genuinely like (most) people. I have 9 brothers and sisters, and more nieces and nephews than I can count. My very blended family is not only a badge of honor, but also great experience for comfortably fitting in with other families without drawing attention to myself, until I need to.
My favorite kind of photography is portrait photography. I believe that you can take an amazing portrait with any kind of camera, if you know what you’re doing. Portrait photography is about connection with my subject, understanding who they are, how I want to represent them, and how they wish to be represented.
Ultimately, from behind my lens, I see people as “beautiful.” I see love. And it is my privilege to be invited to witness it, and to share what I see with you.
